Mexico international Santiago Gimenez has sustained a serious thigh injury, Feyenoord reported on Tuesday afternoon. After examinations, it was determined that the 23-year-old will be out for up to three months. He left the field after 30 minutes in the Dutch side's win over NAC Breda, and left play on a stretcher. His replacement, Ayase Ueda, swiftly opened the scoring for Feyenoord.

They also have former Philadelphia Union striker Julian Carranza in their ranks – who joined from the MLS side last summer.
